Thomas Firestone

Thomas Firestone is the co-chair of Baker McKenzie’s North American Government Enforcement Practice and is also a member of the Baker McKenzie’s Global Compliance & Investigations Steering Committee. His work focuses on transactional due diligence, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and anti-corruption, and internal investigations. Prior to working at Baker McKenzie, Firestone served in various roles within the U.S. Department of Justice including as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York where he worked on transnational organized crime cases. He also worked as Acting Chief of the Law Enforcement Section and Russian Legal Adviser in the US Embassy in Moscow where he helped the Russian government draft new criminal legislation.

He has received various honors and awards including the U.S. Department of State’s Superior Honor Award (2010 and 2014) and is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the U.S.-Russia Foundation.
